Tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas a Boxing spectacle will take place.  The light heavyweight championship will be up for grabs, as Bernard Hopkins takes on Joe Calzaghe.   The match is scheduled for 12 grueling rounds.  Look for it to be a technical fight and go the entire distance.  Both are at the top of their class and are boxing greats.  One thing is for sure this match is not about the money, it’s about reputation, pride and glory.

Bernard Hopkins is a seasoned veteran.  He comes into the fight with a professional record of 48-4-21, with 32 KOs.   He is on the older side, at age 43, but don’t let this fool you, he is still an amazing fighter.  He was born in the Philadelphia projects and has grit and heart.   Hopkins has posted 20 defenses of his IBF title dating back to 1995, securing his status as champion.  He has excellent punching accuracy and is a very intelligent fighter.  This is going to be a very technical match.  Look for an excellent fight and for it to come down to the final bell and go to a decision.
