 Official 2010 Belmont Results & Payouts: DROSSELMEYER Longshot Winner: Here are the Belmont Stakes Results and Belmont payouts for Saturday June 5th. The 2010 Belmont Stakes horse racing results paid $29 to the winner and once again a longshot takes the victory at the Belmont Stakes. The Belmont Stakes is the final leg of the Triple Crown and it's been five yeas since the favorite took the win. DROSSELMEYER was unable to run in the Kentucky Derby due to lack of earnings, but came on strong down the stretch at Belmont Park. The Belmont Stakes results ended with DROSSELMEYER beating out the three 2010 Belmont Stakes favorites, DROSSELMEYER earned the win by three-quarters of a length for trainer Bill Mott. “It all came together,” stated trainer Mott, “I think it was just a matter of time with some of the good horses I get to train that it was going to happen.”
The veteran jockey Mike Smith kept DROSSELMEYER in the clear and never lost site of FIRST DUDE, down the backstretch Smith made his move to the outside and took DROSSELMEYER five wide down the backstretch reeling in GAME ON DUDE, FIRST DUDE and FLY DOWN for the 2010 Belmont Stakes win.
