My New Rating System
My new ratings system is very simple... I personally play every game I release for sale. I truly believe it's not fair to my clients if I am not going to war with them daily. I'm going to keep it very basic so you will always know where I stand with wins and losses and when I'm pushing my current bankroll...
On September 20th 2008, I wanted to reign in my new ratings, generally going between 20 and 100 dimes to aide clients in money management (you asked for it, and I delivered). My 90 and 100 dimes plays will be few and far between. Generally I only release them when I'm playing when I see an opportunity to go for the jugular and especially when I've built a nice bankroll and playing with my man's money. I feel I also have a responsibility to manage your bankroll and that's how I'll take into consideration how I've been doing when I release larger plays. Of course I have no control over when customers become customers, but when I sense an opportunity to go for the jugular, I don't pass it up as long as I remain steadfast to my money management principles and bankroll allocation. Our goal is for everyone to get paid...
Once again, money management is the key to winning, knowing what percentage of your bankroll to play on each release. But, first and foremost, always remember to never wager more than you can afford to lose. This is the single biggest problem gamblers make, and that's why I hammer this point home year after year because I feel it's my job to educate as well, no different than what a financial advisor would do for you when purchasing stocks or mutual funds.
You have two ways of looking at my ratings. The first is based on the amount of your maximum wager size. The second is based on the amount of your total bankroll.
Let's say your maximum wager size is $500. Well, if I release a 100 dime play, then it should be a $500 wager. If I release a 50 dime play, it should be a $250 wager...
The bottom line is you want to have action throughout the length of the package, whether it be 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. So, it's up to you to decide how much action you want on given days and on particular sports...  Online Gambling - US to Overturn UIGEA to Stimulate Economy: According to news sources in order to mend trade ties with the European Union and to potentially stimulate the US economy, a Senior Democroatic lawmaker will move forward with a repeal of the UIGEA. "The bill introduction should happen in the next month," stated a spokesperson for Barney Frank the Chairmen of the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee.
The ban on online gambling recently implemented by the Bush administration could possibly be history due to the need to generate revenue for a failing US economy. Several US states are also looking to legalize forms of online gambling with hopes to increase revenue. The European Union is also preparing to file yet another complaint against the US regarding the enforcement of the UIGEA at the World Trade Organization. "Mr. Frank will bring back legislation to repeal the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act)," stated the spokesman, referring to a bill created and passed in 2006 when the Republican party controlled Congress and the White House. Supporters of the repeal of the UIGEA argue that billions of dollars could be earned in taxing and regulating the online gambling industry. The online gambling regulations set in place by the US republicans, cost billions of lost market value to many European based publicly traded online gambling companies as well as billions of dollars of potential US tax revenue. Against the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank's advice, the republican party lead by the Bush administration rushed to finalize the passage of the UIGEA which essentially banned businesses from accepting payments in connection with online gambling, primarily related to payments made through electronic fund tranfsers, credit cards and checks.  Online Gambling Ban reduces US income by $52 Billion: In a time where every dollar counts after the US recently passed a new stimulus package under president Barrack Obama, the US congress may need to seriously consider overturning a 3 year old ban on online gambling. A recent study performed by PricewaterhouseCoopersmay may help online gambling supporters get the repeal on the UIGEA that they have been fighting for. "There is a dramatic need to have a regulated system that protects American consumers . Right now, it's the Wild West," stated Jeffrey Sandman, a spokesman for the Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative.
The UIGEA legislation attempted to prohibit online gambling in the United States by preventing businesses from knowingly accepting payments in connection with unlawful online gambling, including bets and winnings made through electronic fund transfers, credit cards and checks.
The United States could lose nearly $52 billion in revenue over the next decade if the Congress does not lift the three-year-old ban on Internet gambling and taxing online gambling instead, according to PricewaterhouseCoopersmay's study. But PricewaterhouseCoopers' latest online gambling report on how much the United States could lose from not taxing online gambling is about 22 percent higher than in 2007 due to the fact that U.S. online gambling has grown since the pohibition of online gambling. The well known accounting firm's online gambling report was specifically created for UC Group, an online gambling payment service that could benefit by legalizing online gambling. Barney Frank , House of Representatives Financial Services Committee Chairman plans to once again to reintroduce his bill this year to overturn the 2006 online gambling ban, which was approved when Republicans still controlled both houses of Congress and Republican George W.  Maryland Looks to Ensure Fantasy Sports Online Gambling: Delegate John Olszewski Jr., D-Baltimore County has recently presented a bill to the house committee to exempt fantasy sports from online gambling laws. The Maryland delegate presented fantasy football commercials from YouTube to drive his message regarding the popular form of online gambling.
Currently Fantasy Sports are exempt from federal gambling restrictions the issue is not address specifically in Maryland State Law. The new online gambling bill would not effect the college basketball pool law, which makes betting on college basketball in office pools illegal in Maryland.
"We're just taking this (federal) language and inserting it into Maryland law," stated Olszewski . He then gave a brief explanation of fantasy sports and presented the members of the House Ways and Means committee his own fantasy football team, the "Outlaws." Fantasy sports allow individuals to compete against others based on statistics accumulated by real professional athletes or teams. Owners draft, own and trade athletes from most professional sports, in either free or pay leagues with prizes. Olszewski's explanation might have been helpful for some of the committee members, including Delegate Bill Frick, D-Montgomery, who prefaced a question by admitting his weakness in the field. "I don't know fantasy stuff very well because I'm very bad at it," Frick said. Several national organizations offering fantasy online gambling opportunities have limited Maryland residents from fully participating due to concerns over the state law, Olszewski said. Maryland is one of six states whose residents are ineligible to win cash prizes from CBS Sports' fantasy football pay-to-play leagues. The legislation is critical to giving Maryland residents the same opportunities to win prizes as fantasy owners in many of their neighboring states, stated Justin Cleveland, association manager for the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. "It allows Maryland players to be able to participate in what has become a national pastime," stated Cleveland. "If this legislation goes through ... then they're just going to bring the state of Maryland into sync with the majority of the country." "What I'm picking up is the audience would like us to vote for this," Chairwoman Sheila Hixson stated as she laughed.And while football and baseball are considered among the most popular fantasy sports for online gambling, Olszewski recognized the wide range of of other sports available.
