NASCAR News - Dale Earnhardt Jr Daytona 500 Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Who will win this years 2010 Daytona 500? According to NASCAR odds makers at BetUS.com Mark Martin is your best bet in today's Daytona 500. Mark Martin has the pole with +1200 NASCAR odds. Will this year be Dale Earnhardt's year to drive down victory lane? After qualifying, Earnhardt will take position two along side his Hendrick Motorsports counterpart Mark Martin. Today is expected to be colder than usual in Daytona and the effects of the weather has played an effect on NASCAR's public perception this year, not to mention poor planning on NASCAR's part when it comes to this years television broadcasts.
Another hard hitting effect for NASCAR this year has been the economy, but with hopes of turning things around in 2010 a win by Dale Earnhardt Junior could be just what NASCAR needs. Currently Dale Earnhardt Jr. is posted with +700 NASCAR odds to win the Daytona 500. But this year will need to be different for Jr. as he and his crew chief have been unable to adapt to issues under race conditions. If the 2010 NASCAR odds season does not reflect a better synergy between driver and crew chief, Dale Earnhardt Jr. could once again finish poorly.

NASCAR: Kobalt Tools 500 Odds: The Kobalt Tools 500 Odds we likely be a tight race as the NASACR odds makers list Brian Vikers, Kurt Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr among the NASCAR odds favorites to win the Kobalt 500. Atlanta Speedway will host its 100th race as the flag drops for the Kobalt Tools 500, as well all know history seems to repeat itself and the with 10 wins going to the pole sitter at the Kobalt tools 500 Mark Martin has a legitimate shot at winning today's race.
A potential spoiler to the Kobalt Tools 500 is Tony Stewart who fell short the last two running's of the Kobalt Tools 500 finishing in second place. After Blowing an engine last week in Las Vegas another NASCAR driver to watch closely will be Matt Kenseth, Kenseth started the NASCAR racing season strong and could be another driver in the running for the Kobalt Tools 500 win. Tires may be a factor again this year as several drivers complained about grip in practice on Friday. Last year the tire selection by Goodyear received several complaints from drivers and last year Tony Stewart had this to say "We had a tire that didn't meet the standards of the competition. You felt like you were holding your breath all day." stated Stewart, "I'm real excited I didn't crash. I've been racing 28 years and never seen a racing tire like this weekend." Once again this year slick tires may play a role in the running of the Kobalt Tools 500. Want more NASCAR Odds and News on your mobile device? NASCAR - How to bet on Shelby 427: The NASCAR schedule is heating up and today the engines will start up for the Shelby 427, which will get underway at 4:30 PM at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If your looking to learn how to bet on the Shelby 427 you have come to the right place and the online NASCAR odds makers at Sportsbook.com have several opportunities for you to build your bankroll throughout the complete NASCAR schedule.
There are several NASCAR drivers who have an opportunity to be first to the checkered flag including Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Dale Earnhardt Jr. On the NASCAR schedule so far, Jeff Gordon finished 13th in the Dayona 500 and took 2nd last week in the Auto Club 500. In California last Sunday Gordon could not catch Matt Kenseth but he led for 64 of the 250 lap NASCAR race. Gordon currently sits in second the NASCAR point standings with 304 points. The NASCAR schedule last week had Kyle Busch finishing in 3rd at Fontana and if Busch did not crash in lap 124 of the Daytona 500 he would surely be in the top 10 of the NASCAR standings. Last year's Shelby 427 winner Carl Edwards has made the top 10 in Vegas twice and with only 4 races under his belt at Vegas he could find a groove today. Edwards led 86 of the 267 laps last year taking home the Shelby 427 win. For NASCAR's most popular driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., he is off to a rough start to the 2009 NASCAR schedule. Earnhardt Jr. was blamed for a wreck at Daytona on lap 124 of the Great American Raceand finished 27thand finished 39th in Fontana after completing only 205 laps of the scheduled 250 lap Auto Club 500 race. The NASCAR odds makers over at Sportsbook.com have several angles on the Shelby 427 which are sure to give you the opportunity to win big. Daytona 500 Results - FREE Sports Picks: One of the most disappointing Daytona 500 results ever. A rain shortened event that did not live up to the hype. Nothing against Matt Kenseth but Nascar needed one of there high profile drivers to win to help them promote the sport in this tough economy.
This years Daytona 500 results saw some interesting racing early but was pretty boring race until the last 20 laps before the rain started. The only thing that most fans were talking about after the race was "why did Dale Jr. take out half the field?" Of all the sports affected by the slow down in the economy Nascar was the hardest hit. Several top teams have merged to help save in operating costs and gain new sponsorships. Many in Nascar warn that after race five or six the sponsorship deals could start affecting the smaller teams. Less sponsors means teams will not be able to race and might even see fields that are not full for the first time in Daytona 500 results history. Even the large teams have laid off workers and are trying to watch there spending. If the economy does not turn around soon Nascar might have to step in and make drastic changes to help save costs and keep the sport alive.
Of all years for rain to shorten the superbowl of racing it could not have come at a worse time. Watch closely at Fontana this week and see how desperate the smaller teams are becoming. They must win now or risk not having a sponsor come week #3 in Las Vegas. This could really create some dangerous conditions for all drivers. Nascar bettors though should tred lightly because this is the first time where teams aggresive stance could really affect racing!!
